Hello, we are so thankful that you are taking the time to get to know us a bit better. We have been praying for God to bring a child into our lives for some time now. If you are reading this, you should know that we are praying for you. We are praying that God would give you peace, comfort, wisdom, and even joy as you consider plans for the future.
We, Josh and Ashley, are a fun loving couple, and more than anything else in life we want to be parents. We are sure that now is the right time for us to adopt since we have been unable to have kids of our own. But with that said, adoption was/is not plan “B” for us, we have always had a heart for, and hoped to one day adopt a child.
Adoption is something that is very close to us since Ashley is adopted. When she was 9 years old, Ashley and her biological brother were adopted by wonderful parents who provided a loving and forever home. Ashley was able to have a life that she would never have had if she was not adopted by her parents. They provided her with experiences and memories that are lasting a lifetime.
We want to be able to provide for a child in the same way that Ashley’s parents were able to provide for her. We look forward to one day giving a child the best life possible. We will equip them with values, skills, and experiences that will shape them into being the best they could ever possibly be.
One of the things that we simply cannot wait to do is to love and care for a child of our own. The beauty of adoption is that the whole process is wrapped in love and care. Adoption would not even exist if it were not for those two things. The tough decisions that you are currently wrestling with are all because you love and care for the child you are carrying. We are writing this letter because we have love and care that we want, so desperately, to share.
The wonderful gift that we will one day raise will be loved even beyond their own comprehension. We will devote everything that we have in us to doing what is absolutely best for that child. We cannot promise that we will be perfect, but we will strive for it. We cannot promise that we will never make mistakes, but we can promise that we will continue to learn from them. And we cannot promise that any of this will be easy, but we do know that it will all be worth it.
We also have quite a bit of experience with children and caring for them is second nature to us. Ashley is a teacher and Josh is a pastor. Our occupations aren’t the flashiest by any means, but they certainly have taught us how to love and how to care. We truly do hope that you will take the time to get to know us a bit better. We are praying for you and for the best for your child.
