Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us. From the beginning, about age nine Samantha knew she wanted to adopt, so as the years have gone by the desire has only increased. We began our journey in 2007 doing the necessary paperwork and home preparation. Soon after this time we began doing some foster care with the hopes of adoption; unfortunately we have not had the opportunity to adopt yet until May of 2016 when a birth mom chose us to adopt her daughter, until this time we have had the pleasure of working with many different children and directing them in their lives. During our wait our hopes were not dashed as we knew everything happens for a reason and at the right time. We have much love to share with another child and would like to work with you in the adoption process or simply help you find resources on your journey.
Most recently we have connected with a local clinic in hopes to share our family story. Our hope is that we will be able to encourage birth parents to consider the option of adoption. Work with and encourage birth parents while helping them to locate community resources and services to help them along their journey.
Steve and I met through our co-workers, after 3 years of dating I asked him to marry me. Yes, that's right, I asked him. Come to find out at my bridal shower my grandmother had also asked my grandfather back in the 1940's too. So I have to say that it must definitely run in the family. We have had a wonderful 20 years with a lot of give and take, compromise, and the great ability to discuss without arguing. We have a happy, committed relationship based upon kindness, honesty, love, respect and a joy for life.
