We figured since information about us, is below, written by each other, we'd just do a few "interesting" facts about ourselves, to help you learn a little bit more about us.
1. I am a true Cancer through and through (caring, protective, nurturing, emotional)
2. I firmly live by the quote "Where words fail, music speaks" Being a bit of an introvert, I sometimes have a hard time finding the right words to describe exactly what's on my mind or how I feel. I let music speak for me.
3. Some of my hobbies include all things techie: tablets, computers, video games, I love getting lost in Skyrim and the Sims. I love books, whether its listening to an audio book or reading a book, I love getting lost in a new adventure or retracing my steps through a beloved story. I like to bake and try new recipes although with trying to eat healthier, no one really likes vegetables in brownies :)
4. If I could go anywhere in the world, it honestly wouldn't matter where I was as long as I was with those I love. Friends, family etc. When Andrew and I go away we find ourselves continuously thinking that our best friends would love this, our parent(s) would love that, etc. I love the family I have formed and LOVE spending time with them Here, There and Everywhere.
When I first met her it was fall 2001. The leaves we starting to change and a chill had touched the air. The sun was setting while I waited to meet this stranger who would one day be the center of my life. We sat and drank coffee and laughed and began to fall in love. She is smart, fun, and funny. I learned that she was a person who was close to her family. She loved her nephews, spent time with her siblings and their families, loved her parents and her extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. As a young girl she lived in Levittown, with her parents, brother and sister. She grew up and her natural ability to work with and help people led to her decision to pursue her dream of teaching. She went to Molloy College and received her Bachelor’s Degree, majoring in History and then went on to receive her Master’s Degree in Education and Teaching Certification in Queens College.
Family is important to her, giving a feeling of love, joy she could never get enough of. She is part a large family who spends weekends and vacations together. Her two older siblings have children of their own, Leighanne was surrounded by nieces and nephews to love and cherish. It is with them she learned how important family is, how family is something to nurture and support. It’s why she’ll make an amazing mother.
She is kind and caring, selfless and generous and helpful to a fault. She loves with all her heart and protects her friends and family with a strength and determination I have seldom seen. I saw an innocence and sense of wonder I had never seen in another person when I met her. Her laugh and smile are infectious and I learned that I couldn’t live without her. Those qualities that made me fall in love those years ago haven’t left her eyes or her smile. No matter what life has thrown at her, she dusts herself off and gets back up; never letting anything get in the way of her goals or the happiness of her family. I love and admire the person that Leighanne has become and I love her more today than yesterday, but not as much as tomorrow.
