Family means everything to us. We both come from very close, loving families and are blessed to spend time with them. They have been excellent role models of working marriages. All of our grandparents were married more than 60 years and Kristin’s parents just celebrated 45 years together. Our families have always been very supportive in everything we do and they cannot wait to have another child to love.
Our marriage is a strong, mature, well balanced relationship. When Kristin was looking for the right guy she was looking for an equal partner. Danny is all of that and more. We have many things we like to do together like going to outdoor concerts and sporting events, theater, and favorite tv shows. But we also understand that adults need time to be with friends and explore their own interests. So on nights Danny has bowling then Mommy/daughter time is gymnastics and swimming lessons. When Kristin teaches her water aerobics class or goes to trivia with friends then Daddy/daughter time is at the park or story hour often followed by ice cream.
We have been blessed with a sweet, loving, silly song singing, outdoor girl. She loves to be helpful and has her own ‘food garden’. She is a reminder of what is important in life and is always ready to welcome you home and play.
Our daughter never went through the clingy stage and doesn’t know a stranger. This has brought so much joy to the extended families. Her loving nature is one of the main reasons we want to add to our family. Kristin’s extended family is quite large with 18 aunts and uncles and over 50 cousins. Because these groups are so large we get together to celebrate holidays and special occasions. Danny’s extended family is smaller so it is easier to get the whole group together more often. They are very welcoming and inclusive and many times Kristin’s parents come to the get togethers as well. Our daughter loves having all her grandmas and grandpas together.
Our home is in a family oriented community that is often on the list of best places to live. The schools are fabulous and the growing area has plenty of parks, theaters, sports arenas, and museums. Our home sits on an acre lot that is partially wooded. Our yard has a play set, a tree house, plenty of room to play, lots of flowerbeds, and this year we added a raised bed garden. Kristin loves to spend time working with the flowers and Danny secretly loves his zero turn mower.
Inside we have 3 bedrooms and bathrooms on the main floor. The main area is very open so when cooking dinner, the kitchen, family room, and dining room being together makes family time easy. The finished basement has another bedroom and bathroom. Originally designed as the ideal man cave for his favorite sports team, it now has a whole section that is a perfect kid play area. The walkout basement opens into a super backyard with Kristin’s favorite area the gazebo and pool.
