Dear Birth Parents,
We are Arian and Naeishia Rivers of Houston, TX and we truly appreciate you for taking the time to review our profile and for considering us in such a major decision. Our hearts are so full of love, and we look forward to the day that we can share that love with our future children.
We first met in 2014 and began a genuine friendship. We were the best of friends and were often each other’s biggest support system. One of the things that we bonded over was our hearts’ desires to be parents and our struggles with infertility. In 2016 Nae began the process to become a licensed foster parent and Arian quickly stepped up to assist with the licensing process. He babyproofed her home, made sure everything was inspection ready, and completed background checks with the state to be approved as a respite provider. We eventually fell in love and are now married and ready to start a family.
We live in a quiet neighborhood in Houston, TX. Our home is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home and the nursery is already setup and decorated. We have a large, private backyard with a spacious deck patio that we love. There is a huge, shady tree in the backyard and lots of space to run around and play, which our yorkie Teddy P seems to enjoy. Our neighborhood is comprised of families from all ethnicities and backgrounds. We look forward to raising our children in a home full of love & laughter.
Family & Friends
Our “village” is just as anxious as we are to finally bring Baby Rivers home. We are very close-knit with our families and friends. Our child will be the first grandchild for Nae’s parents. Our friends are also an extension of our families. We have shared our plans to adopt with everyone and they have been nothing but supportive. Some have already purchased items for the baby and others have taken the time to encourage us and pray for us and our future children.
We like to host gatherings for our friends and their children to enjoy food, good music, and fun games. Once a month, Arian’s family gets together for “Rivers Family Day”. We spend the day fellowshipping and playing games together. Nae’s family celebrates Christmas together every year in her hometown. They get together in their festive attire to exchange gifts, take pictures, and share a traditional holiday meal. Our children will be able to take part in lots of special memories with our loved ones.
Our commitment to you is to love your child with all of our hearts and to raise them to love God. We also commit to be honest, open, and welcoming to you. Thank you again for taking the time to get to know us.
“You don’t choose your family. They are God’s gift to you, as you are to them.”
