About Jonathon

About Jon, by Ashley;

There are three words I would use to describe Jon: intelligent, loving and fun. First, Jon values education and learning. From a very young age, Jon loved robots, electronics, computers and building. He decided to take his passion for science and become the first person in his family not only to graduate from college, but to get two bachelors degrees, a masters degree, and pursue a Ph.D. Jon has also taught himself multiple languages including Icelandic and German. To this day, I can find Jon reading or learning about something new, whether it is math, science, language, or the arts. He loves to learn.

Second, Jon values family. He is a devoted husband, son and brother. Even with his heavy work and school load, he always makes time for me and his family. Jon cooks fabulous dinners every day and loves to surprise me with new recipes. Jon absolutely loves our cats and makes time to play with them every day. Whenever we are away from home, he always says how much he misses his boys. He also loves to spend time with our nieces, Natalie and Meredith. I am always so impressed how he can play hide and seek for hours with Natalie and not get tired. Jon also talks to his mom, dad, and brother weekly on the phone.

Lastly, Jon values living life to the fullest. Jon is so much fun. He is always up for surprise trips to the beach or the park, playing games or listening to music. He can even make long car rides fun by creating playlists of music for us to sing along to. Jon is going to be a fun dad. He always talks about how he can't wait to take our kids to the zoo, the Science Center, amusement parks, and concerts. Jon loves robots, Mentos, and the Back to the Future movies, all of which make him the awesome husband he is and great father he will be.
