How are you feeling? We hope everything is going well with you and your baby and that you are both healthy.

You may have read several of these kinds of letters by now and they may start to all run together. It is so hard to get to know someone from a few words and pictures. We can't even begin to answer all of your questions about us in this profile, but we hope that this little glimpse into our lives will give you a good start. Our lives are an open book and you are more than welcome to ask us anything if you want to know more.

We have a very open adoption with our son's birth mother and her family. A friend introduced us to her and we have all become very close since we brought him home almost 3 years ago. We hoped to have an open adoption but did not expect we would become as close as we have. Lee knows that he grew in her belly and that we adopted him. He also sees his biological siblings often and knows they are his brothers and sisters. They have all basically become like our extended family. Not everyone wants this level of openness, but it has been great for our family and we are open to frequent updates and visits (hopefully we all live close to each other) or any other level of openness you choose. This can always become more open too if you want to start slow and get to know us better. We don't want to be overwhelming so the door is always open for more discussion. Every situation is different.

We hope that you have a tremendous amount of love and support while you decide what is best for you and your baby. Don't feel rushed or pressured to make a decision if you feel the time isn't right. You are stronger than you think, smarter than you know, and braver than you can imagine.
